"Fanling Moments: Urban-Rural Symphony" Guided Tour
The project team, in collaboration with the social enterprise "Kai Fong Tour", successfully organized six sessions of the community guided tour "Fanling Moments: Urban-Rural Symphony" between October and December 2025. The tours invited participants to explore how Fanling preserves its traditional culture while integrating modern urban planning, showcasing the unique charm of urban-rural integration. The initiative attracted over 100 members of the public and social welfare organizations. Starting from the Fanling North Community Liaison Centre, the tour guides first introduced the planning and key features of the Kwu Tung North and Fanling North New Development Areas, including the relocated On Lok Mun Street Playground and the North District Temporary Agricultural Products Wholesale Market, allowing participants to experience the urban renewal and vitality brought by the new development area. Afterwards, the guides led participants to visit several landmarks in Fanling, such as the Lung Yeuk Tau Pai Lau, Lo Wai, Tang Chung Ling Ancestral Hall, Tsung Kyam Church, and Luen Wo Market, offering deeper insights into Fanling's rural culture and history. Each participant also received a specially designed "Fanling Urban-Rural Community Map" to help explore more community stories.
